In 1970, my grandfather (Bob Mills) started out in the Carnival with 3 homemade rides, which were a small ferris wheel, swing ride, car ride, candy floss and a popcorn trailer. My father worked with his father running the ferris wheel for two years then my father bought a lager one and in time he acquired several other rides. After being with his father's company for 5 years he ventured out on his own, calling it Canuck Amusements.
Following in my grandfather's and father's footsteps, I added more rides and games, while I was still attending school; I wanted to do something in the Carnival. I bought a High Stricker and I operated it during the summer holidays.
After I finished high school, I got married and my wife joined the business. After a few years, I became a partner with my father. I now manage all the bookings. My father and I worked together and built up the company that now encompasses 25 rides, 17 games and 4 concessions.
